The time skip in One Piece occurs after the Straw Hat Pirates' defeat at the hands of Admiral Kizaru and Admiral Aokiji at Sabaody Archipelago. Following the defeat and separation of the crew, the members spend two years training and improving their skills in preparation for their eventual reunion. The timeskip officially begins in Episode 517 of the anime series and covers episodes 517 to 522.
